The guest house LA SORGA DE VIDA is a charming, authentic and serene manorhouse dating from the beginning of the 19th century, situated in the heart of Quarante, a pretty languedocian village not far from the CANAL DU MIDI

Why is la sorga de vida the spring of life?
In fact, it is the house where the midwife of Quarante (Mrs Fuentes) delivered
all the children of the village and the surrounding area.
So, our current mayor was born in one of our bedrooms.
Knowing this story, we do our best to offer our clients a warm and friendly welcome and we offer well-being services (guest meals, fitness centre, country walks...).
It is in these charming surroundings that Geneviève and Alain invite you to enjoy their peaceful guesthouse nestling in the magnificent countryside between the sea, the Canal du Midi and the foothills of Haut Languedoc. Surrounded by castles and wineries producing A.O.C St Chinian wines it is the perfect location for an escape to the south west of France.
This area full of history, will offer you a mosaic of landscapes, sites and Cathar monuments to discover.
